VIVID 5

Exceptional level of image quality
• Image enhancing elements
• Leading edge post exam tools

Specifications

  • Echo patient archive – Vivid Five’s and EchoPAC’s on-board patient archive allows you to perform all critical post-exam analysis off-line. Serial patient studies, which give you instant access to historical patient exams, permit comparison studies of previous exam results to immediate exams.
  • Customized report generation – Customized reports, presenting the results the way you want them, can be generated at the scanner or at a separate workstation. One of this year’s new breakthroughs includes a complete and customizable contrast report. A user template can be utilized to document and store the myocardial contrast enhancements, similar to a stress echo protocol report.
  • Connectivity – EchoPAC is fully DICOM-compatible, allowing you to connect via MOD or via a network to other vendors. New enhancements to EchoPAC include the DICOM processing speed and the transfer of images. In addition, the new features for modality work list, print SCU and storage commitment have been included.
  • Tissue Tracking Imaging - Aides in the detection of coronary heart disease by providing better visualization of the regional wall motion
  • Quantitative Tissue Velocity Imaging - Captures dynamic information from moving heart tissue for a high-quality, vivid color image
  • Contrast Imaging - Provides superior evaluation of the regional wall motion in difficult-to-image patients and in contrast applications, such as Left Ventricular Opacification (LVO), by increasing the echo strength
  • Anatomical M-Mode - Produces more accurate information in situations where the heart is not shaped or positioned normally by orientating the M-Mode to the anatomy instead of the transducer
  • 4D Imaging - As a qualitative and quantitative post-exam tool, GE's exclusive 4D Imaging aids in communicating the ultrasound findings to other physicians and healthcare professionals
Image Review

Echo PAC optimizes image review by preserving the raw image data for excellent image quality and high frame rates, thus permitting true serial comparison studies during exams, such as stress echo, or during patient follow-up months after an exam.
Customizable Stress Echo is possible with Vivid Five’s large data storage capacity, which increases flexibility in stress echo and saves the original scanner’s frame rates rather than video. User-customized or standard and pharmacological stress protocols and report templates can be used to evaluate the full cardiac cycle - not just systole. The investigation is further optimized with the highest temporal resolution and the highest demand on dynamic information.
